Black Swan is Western Australia’s State Flagship Theatre Company, and one of Australia’s foremost producers of Australian drama. It has developed a reputation for innovation and the nurturing of new work, and in particular the telling of uniquely Western Australian stories.

Broad Universe is an international organisation of women and men dedicated to celebrating and promoting the work of women writers of science fiction, fantasy and horror. See website for more details.
The Broken Hill Regional Writers Centre fosters writing and literary enjoyment for those living in west NSW.
An active group interested in reading, writing and composing poetry. Organises the Bush Lantern Award and the Bundy Poets Muster. Meetings held every second Saturday of each month at the Rum City Silver Band Hall, Targo Street, Bundaberg at 1:30pm.
A group of 40-50 keen members dedicated to all aspects of creative writing, including plays and poetry. Welcomes isolated writers from all states of Australia as members. Members invited to submit work for critiquing. There is also a monthly newsletter.
Established in 1993 with the intention of building a ‘living arts centre’. Runs an annual Artist-in-Residence program for artists or groups, including writers. The Camden Head Pilot Station honours Australia’s nature writing genre. Its program includes artists-in-residence and an annual children’s competition held in the schools of the Camden Haven.
The Canberra Speculative Fiction Guild (CSFG) helps science fiction, fantasy and horror writers and illustrators develop their craft through critiquing and sharing news and experiences. Meets the first Wednesday of the month for critiquing and the third Wednesday of the month for guild matters at ACT Writers Centre. Check mailing list for details.
Canberra Youth Theatre (CYT) was established in 1972 and is a nationally recognised not-for-profit youth arts company which creates and promotes theatre with young people that is inspirational, enriching, collaborative and innovative.
Carclew Youth Arts is South Australia’s peak arts body for people aged 26 and under. Carclew Youth Arts’ Board was previously known as the South Australian Youth Arts Board, or SAYAB.
Members meet first and third Thursday of every month at 10am to read, critique and assist each other. Group holds workshops and has visiting speakers. Most members have been published whilst involved with the group.
The Coffs Harbour Writers’ Group was established in 1986 for the purpose of creating an environment of support for aspiring writers. The group aims to promote writing in the Coffs Harbour area, to provide positive feedback and suggestions to members, improve members’ skills, and provide a portal of information on writing competitions and publishing opportunities.

The Acts require that material published in South Australia be deposited 1 month after publication. Material includes a part, division or entirety of a book, newspapers, magazines, maps, charts, printed music, records, films, tapes, disks or other items made available to the public to store and facilitate reproduction of images or sound.
The Copper Triangle Writer’s Group is made up of around twenty friendly and diverse writers. New members are always welcome to the lively and entertaining meetings.
Corrugated Iron Youth Arts (CIYA) provides and facilitates quality performing arts experiences for Darwin’s young people. Crime Writers’ Association of Australia was formed to promote and publicise Australian crime fiction and to organise the annual Ned Kelly Awards for excellence in crime writing.
Currency Press is an independent Australian publisher established in 1971, and specialising in the performing arts. The company considers for publication plays that have been professionally produced. We will also consider non-fiction work that relates to the performing arts.
Darlinghurst Theatre Company is a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting emerging artists and new Australian and international plays, so they can deliver a season of high quality, diverse and innovative theatre.
