6. MEMBERSHIP OF THE WRITER’S MARKETPLACE

6.1 Your Member Details

You warrant that all information provided by you in your membership registration or otherwise in connection with your use of The Writer’s Marketplace is complete, current, accurate, and is not misleading, and that you will not misrepresent your identity. You agree that Queensland Writers Centre may rely on that information unless and until it receives notice from you of any change or update to the information provided by you. Any such varied information will be covered by this warranty.

6.2 Password Protection

You will choose a password as part of completing the registration process. Your password is your key to accessing the subscription-only web services of The Writer’s Marketplace and your account. You must maintain the confidentiality of your password and you are fully responsible for all activities that occur through use of your password.

You must: (a) exit The Writer’s Marketplace as soon as you have finished your session by logging out from the website; and (b) immediately notify Queensland Writers Centre of any suspected unauthorised use of your password.

You can change your password whenever you wish by using the “Change Password” option under “Account”.

7. APPLICABLE LAWS

Use of the website and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia. Any claim relating to use of the website shall be heard by Queensland Courts.

8. TERMINATION

Queensland Writers Centre may, in its sole discretion, terminate these Terms and Conditions at any time with or without notice and for any reason, including circumstances where Queensland Writers Centre suspects that you have violated these Terms and Conditions.

9. NOTICES

Email correspondence sent to the website will be treated as a public record and will be retained as required by the Libraries and Archives Act 1988 (Qld) and other relevant regulations.

Email messages are monitored by Queensland Writers Centre’s web team for system troubleshooting and maintenance purposes.

Notices to you may be made via email. You agree that when Queensland Writers Centre sends you an email in connection with this website, the message is deemed received by you when Queensland Writers Centre sends the message addressed to the email address you nominated.

10. GENERAL PROVISIONS

If any of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision is deemed severable from these Terms and Conditions and does not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
