Specialisation: Aboriginal language materials, oral and natural history, bush foods, cross cultural titles and, under its Jukurrpa imprint, fiction, art and children’s books by Aboriginal authors plus art diaries and calendars.

Although IAD Press publishes material by Aboriginal authors, it will consider collaborative projects where there has been genuine co-authorship and extensive Aboriginal involvement that has been duly acknowledged.

Part of the Northern Territory Literary Awards. Entries open to original works of short fiction or a single poem by a person aged 12 to 18 years as of 1 January 2021 – up to three poetry entries per person with a 300-line limit or a short story up to 3000 words

The Katherine Region of Writers was established in 1991. With eight anthologies published, this non-profit community group meet monthly to share their writing, assist with manuscripts, old and new writing and encourage beginners and everyone in between to get their thoughts and ideas down.
