Australian Plays Transform (APT) is Australia’s national play development, publication and licensing organisation. It hosts the world’s largest online showcase and searchable database of the best Australian playwriting. APT seeks new voices for new times, develops plays that change the national story, links them to production, publishes them, promotes them, and licenses them for future productions here and around the world.
La Boite is Australia’s longest continuously running theatre company, celebrating its 100th year of operation in 2025. Located within the Queensland University of Technology’s Kelvin Grove campus in Brisbane, La Boite is home to the iconic 400 seat Roundhouse Theatre, the country’s only purpose-built theatre in-the-round.
MTC is one of the major performing arts companies in Australia, and one of the largest theatre companies in the English-speaking world. Founded in 1953, MTC is also the oldest professional theatre company in Australia, and currently exists as a department of the University of Melbourne.
The core activity of the Melbourne Writers’ Theatre is script development, which is furthered by means of panel discussions, readings and workshopping of plays by professional directors and actors. Members are encouraged to submit their longer plays for our new, improved panel readings or alternatively to one of our expert dramaturges.
Script Central is a team of 15 writers, script editors and script consultants who provide expert script services, rewrites, adaptations, proofreading and commissioned scripts to writers of all levels of experience, producers and others interested in taking their scripts to professional levels of development.
State Theatre Company South Australia is the flagship theatre company of South Australia and is a resident artistic company of the Adelaide Festival Centre. Commissions, performs and tours theatrical productions of new and existing, classic and contemporary, Australian and international work.
