Wollondilly FAW is a regional branch of the NSW FAW and meets on the second Sunday of every month. The group is very active, holding an annual literary competition and an annual poets picnic at Wirrimbirra Sanctuary.

The Wild Goose Literary e-Journal is a subscriber journal focusing on new Australian writing. They publish essays, short fiction, poetry and memoir from emergent writers. Founded in 2014 The Wild Goose Literary e-Journal is entirely digital with a specially themed issue each December. Themes are announced on the website in June.
Whitley Awards are presented for outstanding publications (print or electronic) containing a significant amount of information on the Australasian region fauna. More than one medal may be given each year. The prize may be withheld if submissions are of insufficient standard.
