The Mackay Writers’ Group is a small writers’ group whose aim is to foster writing to all levels. The group meets on the fourth Monday of the month – meetings consist of a workshop and then the business part of the meeting. Membership includes a monthly newsletter.
The Sandgate Writers Group (SWG) is open to published and novice writers to read their own material. Free critique, shared in a friendly atmosphere. Every month is a training exercise. Refer to SWG website. Members meet at the Sandgate Community Hall 153 Rainbow St, Sandgate every third Tuesday evening of the month at 7pm.
VISION has members who write in a wide variety of sub-genres, including cyberpunk, high fantasy, gothic horror and magic realism. The group aims to polish writing skills, support each other with market news and reach publication standard. VISION meets the first Sunday of each month at the State Library of Queensland (except December and January) from 11am, everyone is welcome.
